Description
On a recent trip to Italy one of out stops was the beautiful city of Siena. There are so many stunning visual images in Siena that it is hard to pick one to paint. One of the images, however, that impressed me again and again was the sometimes steep uphill and downhill slope of the streets contrasted against the strong verticals of the centuries old buildings.I chose a spot where the viewer is looking down a rather steep sloping street seeing the point where the street actually changes to a rather steep up sloping street. The strong white image of the street creates an arrow, if you will, directing the viewers attention to the surrounding architecture. It's a beautiful place! ---Jim
